Brief

  • Develop a website that will 'grow with the company' going beyond limitations of previous site and ability of the publication software used
  • Re-design site to fit with the new Learn It logo, and incorporate bright and clean colours taken from the lego brand manual
  • Make the site very user friendly, the main priority necessary to accomodate parents of varied computer skills
  • Create a registration system to allow for accepting payments and recording attendees of upcoming Classes, Camps and Workshops
  • Customise Ubercart invoice emails to include a link to the location of the Class, Camp or Workshop that was purchased
  • Configure back-end views to add ability to download CSV file of customer email addresses per upcoming Class, Camp and Workshop

Process

  • Held meetings with Ross, Director of Learn It regularly throughout project in person and over Skype following agile development methodologies
  • Wireframed the site in Mockingbird
  • Followed Lego Education brand manual for official colour palettes, logo positioning guidelines and other guidelines and requirements
  • Installed and configured Drupal 6 to be hosted 
  • Initially, integrated Learn It Services with MyKidstime for taking bookings
  • Enabled and configured Ubercart for accepting e-commerce bookings, hooked up with Paypal
  • Extended the available payment methods to include ability to accept debit cards using the Realex payment gateway and Ubercart Realex module

Outcome

  • Learnit.ie accepts payments regularily for Classes, Camps and Workshops through Paypal and through the Realex payment gateway
